"Dulle's"
obedience guide

(Everything is well tested by "Dulle" himself)

To all you dogs out there who thinks that obedience
has to be...... obedience!

# 1:
Heel without leach

Here you can do almost anything!
At a competition, noone can be angry at you!
When the judge says: "run!", you
just.... run! The faster the better.
Or jump up and down time after time and
bark the loudest you can.

#2:
Sending to a square

Very nice indeed!
You are all alone out there and that gives you a lot
of freedom to do what you like.
The first thing to do is to run to the first marking.
If your'e not in the mood that day - finish it
all quickly by simply lay down and chew it!
Or - if you want to make a good impression: take that
marking, and the others (that marks out the square)
with you back.
Everyone is going to be SOOO happy!

#3:
Scent discrimination

That small piece of wood that has a different smell
is lovely to chew on, but I would advice you to
go a little further than that:
EAT IT!
Swallow as fast as you can and look as if you
didn't understand what happened.

#4:
Jump over a fence

To sit and wait is boring.
Jump as fast as you can
over and over again to show how good you
can do it.
They will all be so impressed!

#5:
Retrieve a dumbell

Here you also work far away and that gives
you all the freedom you need to show off!
First of all: retrieve when YOU want to, not when told.
Second: take the dumbell and either run away with it
or you can eat it up.
Easy!

#6:
Stand/sit/lay down at a distance

It is always nice for the audience to see a dog that
does this with perfection, but it's far more fun to see
a dog that has FUN while doing it, right!?
So every time you hear "stand", "sit" or "lay down"
you choose one of the other alternatives.
"Stand", for exemple can be "sit" and so on.
You have six tries, if you do it wrong all six times,
everyone will laught their brains out, guaranteed!

Other tips:

It's always nice to be friendly to the judge.
If you are bored out there, just go to him/her and
look sweet, and see if they have any candy for you.
Try to kiss them if you don't get anything at the first try.
They just can't be angry at someone that nice.

It is fun to compete, but it can be even funnier.
Try these tips and satisfaction is guaranteed!
